If you want your Tesla to charge faster, you have the option to get the dual chargers. This will allow you to charge your car’s battery at a higher voltage and therefore speed up the time it takes to charge it for 5 miles from 1 hour to almost a few minutes.
If you have the model S that has supercharging capabilities, you can charge the car for 300 miles in one hour. This is due to the 480 voles at 120 kWh provided at the Tesla Supercharger stations.
Charging Tesla at Home

How Much Battery You Have – The biggest factor of them all is how much battery you have in your car already. The lower the charge, the faster your Tesla will charge. If you’re starting from 0%, getting to 10% is going to be very quick. Going from 90 to 100% is going to take a lot of time.
